A change in my blog

I don’t know how to start this blog off, but I’ll get straight to the point here. I’ve thought long and hard on what I want on how I see my blog will be in the future. First off let me say how I’ve neglected my blog for a while now. I’m sorry but not really sorry because my mental health comes first. My mental health was the worst its ever been, and I haven’t felt this low in a long time.

Blogging is not as easy as I thought it was diving in…

2020 was the worst year of blogging that I’ve endured. We all had a rough year with what is going on in the world with covid-19, but these are the changes that will make us better, stronger and more well rounded people.ย  If you would of told me when I first started blogging of how bloggers are against the biggest challenges ever, I probably wouldn’t have rushed into it like I always do with so many other projects I get into. There is so many aspects of blogging I am learning and yet to understand. From now on I will not rush into a blog post or set a deadline for myself as I’ve noticed from previous blog post it just made me not want to be a blogger. I won’t allow my self to up that other blogger, or be a certain blogger just so I get the views on my blog. I’m committed to stay true to this blog and myself, and I know I will grow in time. I hope someone that reads my blog take something from it and helps them in any way shape or form. One thing I’ve always been obsessed about were the comments rather it was good or bad, the likes and unlike I wanted to understand the people reading my blog. That obsession will be no more, to much to obsess with is not a great thing to have.

The biggest change I’m going to do will be the name of my blog. I don’t want this blog to just be about beauty, and beauty reviews. Don’t get me wrong here I still plan on doing beauty posts but I want to expend to talk about other topics but still keeping into my niche. You might ask “what is your niche”? Like I said beauty topics will still be, on top of beauty, there will be lifestyle posts- rather it be mom topics, what I’ve been up to like life updates etc.

Things I plan on to stick by are:

Being authentic and engaging

Post as much as I can by being committed

Understanding and hearing what my audience opinions are

These changes to my blog may happen suddenly, I know the response to that change may or may not happen overnight. It may take time to recover when I decided to make changes to my blog. Word has to spread. Search engines have to index. Viewers need to search and view. I have to tell myself to just be patient. Another huge change is the change in myself as a blogger, I have so much fear, anxiety, even a little paranoia, but people have told me it’s a normal change.

Here’s to a better start over, and hoping the next few months to the new year will be back to the old normal, because this new norm is not one I can get use to. Thanks to everyone that has stuck by my blog, and to my readers I truly appreciate your time to take a minute or two of your time to read my post. I’d love to hear from any of you, if not I won’t hold you for it.

Until next time,

Xoxo
