Fitglow vita-active foundation & Fitglow concealer+ Review

Hey beauties this review has been really stressing me out on whether I should or shouldn’t write. I’ve put this review on hold because I wanted to try it as many ways as possible to the point of the product being almost gone. I’ve had this product for 2 months and have been using it almost every day, so this review is a long time coming. I have been honest on any reviews I’ve done and this is no exception.

Just because a product or products from any brand did not work for me doesn’t mean I don’t like the brand or won’t try other products from them. It just mean those certain products didn’t work on my skin.

I’ve been wanting to try FITGLOW BEAUTY products for quite some time now.  Well, it finally happened, and I took the plunge and purchased two make up products that have been raved about for so long. I was so excited to try them out. But, I’m sorry to say that these two products just didn’t live up to all the rave reviews they get. And one thing I found suspicious is that I don’t see bad reviews on these products, for the most part, it’s all positive reviews. No matter where I looked on YouTube, on blogs, on Fitglow site, hardly any bad reviews to be found… At first, I thought I was doing it all wrong, I thought I was making mistakes on how I applied them. It made me so frustrated because why is everyone loving this, and I’m not. This is one reason I don’t buy too hyped up products.

Let’s talk about the claims of these products and why I was not a fan.

Let’s start off by stating this is not a full coverage foundation at all, not even a medium, and it gives light coverage (like it claims to be.)This foundation was more like a sheer tinted moisturizer, no matter how much I tried to build it up, it didn’t seem to build up. I don’t mind tinted moisturizers and do prefer them over full coverage foundation so that wasn’t the issue. It has great skincare ingredients, it’s like skincare meets makeup. The issue I had with this foundation is it was going on so patchy no matter what the method I attempted, I tried with different brushes, with my hands, and even a sponge(best method is using your hands). The formula was hard to blend it felt heavy and looked cakey which is surprising for it is a lightweight foundation. It had no staying power on my skin, didn’t even last an hour and I set my face always with powder and setting spray. I made sure I was properly moisturized, and a clean base like I always do, no matter what skincare I used underneath it still didn’t make it work, I tried a clean bare face nothing, and I tried different primers still looked patchy and uneven. It sits on top of my skin and sinks in my lines and creases horribly. I find It  does still cling to dry skin. I honestly didn’t see anything nice with how my skin looked over time after using it for 2 months everyday. I’ll tell you this I didn’t break out which was the only good thing. Another way I tried using it was using other liquid foundation to use on top or powdered foundation but it made no difference there and looked more caked up. This was just not my a cup of tea.

Moving onto the concealer.

$ 42.00, 6.2ml

CONCEAL+  treatment concealer is full coverage, and goes beyond just camouflaging problem skin to deeply treat and improve its condition. The plant powered blend of Phyto Elastin, Organic Green Tea, Vitamin K, and Licorice Root diminish the look of blemishes, pigmentation, and fine lines leaving skin stronger and smoother. The creamy texture blends flawlessly into the skin to provide a potent cover up to areas that need more coverage.

Ricinus Communis (Castor) Seed Oil *, Cera Alba (Beeswax)* , Vitis Vinifera (Grape) Seed Oil*, Lauryl Laurate, Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil*, Copernicia Cerifera (Carnauba) Wax, Phytoelastin PF (Plant Elastin), Water, Phospholipids & Phytonadione (Vitamin K Liposome ) , Leuconostoc/Radish Root Ferment Filtrate, Caffeine, Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract (Green Tea Extract ) *, Glycyrrhiza Glabra Root Extract (Licorice Root) * May Contain: Titanium Dioxide, Yellow Iron Oxide, Red Iron Oxide, Black Iron Oxide, Ultramarine Violet, Chromium Oxide Green, Manganese Violet.  * Certified Organic Ingredients

This is a full coverage concealer, but it’s a drier thicker consistency, so it is best to apply it with the warmth of your fingers. I don’t like this concealer for my thin dry under-eye area, even to spot conceal it’s to drying. It’s very emollient doesn’t dry, and it creases and fades horribly. It makes me look old and that’s a no for me. It doesn’t last and you have to reapply consistently. I just don’t reach for this.

Even though I had a bad experience with these two products does not me I’m going to give up on this brand. I still really want to try more from them because truth be told I’m not going to like everything a brand has. You win some and you lose some.
